We proudly announce the successful completion and opening of the Cathay Pacific Business Class Lounge located in Shanghai Pudong International Airport (PVG) Terminal 2. Opened in early August 2019, this expansive 1,000-square-meter facility sets a new benchmark for premium airport lounges in the region.

Spaze Design served as the lead consultant, overseeing a comprehensive scope of works that included critical project management, detailed project design, MEP design, and specialized kitchen consultancy. Our team was instrumental in bringing Cathay Pacific's acclaimed "residential apartment" design philosophy to life within the complex operational environment of a major international airport.

The lounge features warm, natural materials such as dark cherry wood, limestone, and bronze, creating an atmosphere of tranquility and sophisticated comfort. A key highlight includes Cathay Pacific’s signature Noodle Bar, The Pantry, and a full-service bar.

The project presented significant challenges, particularly navigating the stringent statutory submission procedures and securing complex approvals from various airport authorities. Spaze Design’s proactive and meticulous approach was crucial in managing these intricate regulatory requirements.
